Halloween Safety Tips:
-Make sure your child is supervised by an adult.
-Stay in well lighted areas.
-Only go to homes that have their porch light on.
-Make sure that you check your child’s candy before allowing them to eat it.
-Make sure your child’s vision is not impaired by their mask.

Ahoy Mates! Book Fair News!
The Bookaneer Book Fair was a success. I want to thank all who attended and purchased books. Thank you to all who bought books for the classroom teachers also. The library was able to purchase quite a number of new books for our little bookaneers.
"All for Books" challenge was grade level vs. grade level. We raised $31.59 which will be matched by Scholastic and given to charities for reading literacy. The grade level that won was 4th grade. They will be able to check out an additional book for one month (now until Nov. 30).
Thank you to the parents, high school helper, Mrs. Klaassen, and teachers who helped set up, decorate, run, and box up the book fair. Without your efforts the book fair would not have run so smoothly.
Once again Mateys, THANKS for supporting the library.
Captain O (aka Mrs. Ohlund)
