Introduction
Where and when the battle was fought
The Battle of Bunker Hill was fought on June 17, 1775. This battle was fought during the siege of Boston during the early stages of the American Reviloutionary War. The Americans learned that the British wanted to occupy the hills around the city. This would give them control of The Boston Harbor. Even though the colonists were ordered to go to Bunker Hill, they chose Breeds Hill, which was closer to Boston. This battle was fought mostly at Breeds Hill, not Bunker Hill. Have you ever wondered who the generals were?
The Generals
Who won and why
In the first two battles, the Americans were able to make the British retreat. The third time the British attacked, the Americans were low on ammunition.
