Field Day - Volunteers Needed

In less than two weeks on Friday, May 24, we will hold our 16th Field Day. This day is always a fun day for the students and faculty. It's success has everything to do with those who help run the activities for the day. We could really use some more volunteers!

Volunteers will be assigned to either an activity, which they will run, or the drink/break area. Students are already familiar with most of the activities (or they are simple activities), so basic guidance is all that's needed.

Box Tops for Education Contest WINNERS!

The final counts are in and the Box Tops Contest is over for the 2018-2019 school year. The winning grade is FIFTH with 2,896 box tops coming in this year!

We had a great year of collection, all six grades made it over the 1,000 mark!
Grand total collected this year was 10,886!! Great job by everyone!

Thank you to everyone who helped: students, teachers, and volunteers who did the counting ,clipping and bagging!

Here is how the final numbers looked: K - 1,333; 1 - 1,635; 2 - 1,798; 3 - 1,495; 4 - 1,729; 5 - 2,896.

2020 Designer Bag Bingo Event - Chairperson Needed

We are considering a 2020 Designer Bag Bingo event to be held at St. Maria Goretti Parish. We are working to secure a date and looking for someone to chair the committee.

Subcommittees will be formed to organize the donations and raffles, the decorations and the publicity but we need someone to take the lead. This year's organizers are happy to help guide you. Forms and checklists will be available.

TICKETS ARE STILL ON SALE for the game on May 18th at 7:30 pm.

Playground/Cafeteria Aide Position

Vernfield Elementary is currently hiring a playground/cafeteria aide. The position will last through the end of this school year. Information regarding the position is currently posted on the district website. Please contact Mrs. Smerecki in the main office if you would like to be considered for the position.

The Souderton Area School District Board of School Directors will hold Board Committee Meetings on Monday, May 20 at 6:30 PM in the Tinner Board Room at the District Administrative Office Building, 760 Lower Road, Souderton, PA.

Elementary School Improvement Survey for Parents of Students Currently in Grades K-5: To continuously improve our elementary schools, we need data regarding students’, teachers’ and parents’ perceptions of the school year coming to a close. The information gained from the survey will help our elementary schools set goals to improve the educational experience for the students. Survey:

Summer Lunch: IVEF is running a summer lunch program (Big Red Picnic Program) and is currently seeking donations. They need to raise $36,000 to meet their goal and fully fund the program. Check out their Summer Lunch Flyer for details and how to donate.
