February 1966|| Marries Rita Anderson
June 1977|| Exodus is released #8 in the UK #20 in the US
September 1977|| Diagnosed with cancer in one of Marley's toes. The press were informed that this happened while playing soccer.
September 1980|| During dates at Madison Square Garden, New York, supporting the Commodores, Marley collapses while jogging. Cancer was detected.
May 1981|| Dies in Miami, Florida
