Be PART Of The UELF Learning Community

As a family member of a UELF Student, you are invited to be part of the UELF Learning Community. Together, family, school, and students, we can build on the students' assets and support them to build and grow. We call this +One; it's where every student is pushed and stretched to their capacity. Listed below are tips for being an active part of our community.

  • Attend the Back-To-School Night Talks- All School Night and the individual Class' Night
  • Join the PTA - Your $10+ donation supports project-based learning, and you get to be part of a parent network!
  • Donate towards the Garden($50) and Assembly/Field Trips(50)! Both of these donations go directly toward your child's in school experience and to their classroom.
  • Join in on 2nd Cup of Coffee, ELAC, Site Council, PTA, Garden Committee meetings. Pick the one or two you can do, plug it into your calendar.
  • Watch the UELF News with your kids! Students are already working with Mrs. Lunde to make it student generated!
  • Engage in the Dine & Donates, Spirit Fridays, and/or Morning Lap Walks.
  • Ask your child, "Tell me about your favorite part of the day.... What was the challenging part of the day...."

School Spirit Day - Friday! - Silly Hair Day

How do we feel part of the school community? One of the ways is to participate in Friday School Spirit Days. Every Friday the community shows their school pride by wearing Teal and Navy Blue. Every few weeks, the school community will also have a FUN Spirit Day. This Friday make your hair silly and be part of our spirited team. Families are always invited to participate too! It's GREAT for our students to see and experience us having joy and being silly.

*UELF practices will be Mondays and Thursdays from 3:15pm to 4:15pm, beginning on Sept. 20.

*Scholarships are available when you share the need during the registration process.

Moving Forward With COVID Protocols

School is in session and it is evident that some students are absent. The Delta Variant of COVID19 is present in our CRPUSD community so taking safety precautions by all of us is needed for all of our well-being.
  • Use CrisisGo EVERY MORNING to provide an update on the status of your child. IF you are not getting the email, then use the Visitor Link.
  • Send your student with a full water bottle and a face covering.
  • Remind your student to wash and sanitize his hands throughout the day.

When your child has been exposed to a person, while being indoors and unmasked, who tests COVID positive and/or your child shows sick symptoms, then you must:

  • stay home from school and call the office
  • your child will need a COVID negative test OR need to stay home for ten days and show no symptoms before returning to school
  • Call the office and we will walk you through next steps

IF there is a COVID positive test in the classroom, then students will be called by me and the UELF Staff. Presently our students have only been exposed through community events or have stayed home because they are showing symptoms. Students who have had symptoms and been tested have thus far been COVID negative.

Our community has been open, transparent, and conscientious about actions so that student and staff health is the focus. All of us are eager and happy to have our schools open and are demonstrating that we will do whatever it takes to make this a smooth and healthy process. #UELFSpirit
