Summer Institute Begins June 22!
- Proposals are due by the end of the day on June 10
- There is only one deadline for product submissions that coincide with the timing of payment (August 5 for payment week of August 25)
- Products will be submitted via TeachPoint or Atlas

The new DESE teacher rubric is scheduled to be piloted in the fall of 2023. By starting the conversation now, we expect to be ahead of the learning curve here and in direct alignment with state expectations for teaching and learning.
Striving For Equity Summer Course - Begins June 27 - Last Call!
Our next cohort of the Striving For Equity course with Karen Hall will begin on Monday, June 27. This course is recommended for all faculty and required of new LPS educators (effective this school year) within the first two years of employment. Please enroll through TeachPoint by the end of this week if you are interested in joining this cohort.
Striving For Equity - (15 SEI PDPs): Karen Hall, ELL Coordinator/Teacher at Reading Public Schools
This thought-provoking 15-hour course is designed for Pre-K-12 educators and administrators working with English Learners and other culturally and linguistically diverse students. It covers three broad topics: Culturally Competent Teaching and Learning, Breaking Down Racial Inequities, and Striving for an Equitable Curriculum.
- The course will run for 1 week and conclude with the Action Plan due on 7/7
- Initial meeting on June 27, 3:00-4:15 Zoom (6/28, 6/29, 6/30 - additional synchronous sessions)
- The remainder of the time is asynchronous
- 15 SEI PDPs will be awarded upon course completion
- Option to purchase graduate credit through Gordon College
