Dear Oak Ridge Families,


Today, our elementary students enjoyed visiting the FFA petting zoo where they got to pet and learn about horses, cows, rabbits, chickens, sheep, donkeys, and other animals. Thank you Mr. Thomas and our FFA students for organizing this opportunity for us!


Our 3rd grade students are studying a unit on the Civil War. This week, Mrs. Jones' class had a guest speaker come in and share artifacts and information about the Civil War.


Read Across America Week will be February 27th through March 3rd. We will "Paws" for reading this week. Check out the flyer from Mrs. Elam below for information about each day's events as well as links to a reading of the book of the day.


Come and join the fun on February 27th @ 5:30PM for the ORES Title 1 Family Fun Night! We will have food, games, and prizes as well as tips and tricks for helping your child with reading and math. Students that have a parent sign in will be entered into a drawing for a $50 Walmart gift card. Two gift cards will be given away.


Saturday, March 4th, Oak Ridge will be hosting a volleyball tournament. Elementary staff will be working the concession stand to raise money for a Ga Ga Ball court on the playground. Come out and enjoy a game and something from the concession stand.


If you or your child need assistance with school supplies or other resources, please let me know as we have access to resources to help you.

Permission To Park Bike On Campus Form
Students that plan to ride a bike to and from school must have this permission slip outlining bike safety on campus on file in the office prior to bikes being allowed on campus.
After School Adventure Club Form
The Oak Ridge R6 School District offers after school care from 3:15-5:15pm for students in K-10th grades. Complete the form and return to the elementary office. The cost is $5 per day.
Free/Reduced Meal Application Form
If your income status changes throughout the year, please turn in an updated from to the office.
Bus Transportation Request Form
Complete this form for routing bus transportation to or from school. Call 573-266-3232 if you have questions or need a temporary bus change.
Parents As Teachers (PAT) Request For Services Form
Parents As Teachers (PAT) is a free program to help expectant parents and parents with students age birth through kindergarten age to ensure their children are reaching developmental milestones and are ready for school.
