Parent Teacher Conferences

It was so nice to meet you all at Parent Teacher Conferences. We had a 100% turn out! We thank you so much for being a partner with us as we strive to make this year your child's best one yet!

Language Workshop

In Unit Two: Relationships, children have learned how to think deeply about the characters. We can learn about them through their actions, words and thoughts. These traits can help us infer things about the story and the character because we know them so well. We've learned about supporting characters, as well. and how they impact the main characters. For example, in The Royal Bee the children learned about Song Ho, a poor boy who wasn't allowed the "privilege" of attending school. Through his persistence and hard work, however, the school master has mercy on him and allows him to come into the school. Because the master had a tender heart, Song Ho can now break the cycle of poverty in his family.

November Birthdays!

Math

This month in Math we are learning all about different types of graphs. Not only will we make different kinds of graphs, like pictographs, bar graphs, pie graphs and line plots but we will learn how to read them and analyze the data they provide.

Science

We have been learning all about the three most popular States of Matter: Solids, Liquids and Gases. Children are taken through a 5 step process as we delve into the Science standards. The five steps are: Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate and Evaluate.

Buddy Classes

Note: Mrs. Coffey's class should not bring board games because they are paired with a younger class and those kids will bring the game!!
