Boomerang Honoree for Peaceful Conflict Resolution

Congratulations to 9th grader Connor A. for being Tamanend’s Boomerang Honoree for Peaceful Conflict Resolution. Connor consistently includes classmates, whether it's group work, partner sharing, or whole class discussion. He is accepting of others' viewpoints and ideas. Connor has been vocal in acknowledging that everyone is different and from different backgrounds, and he has helped in several situations where someone could have gotten angry or upset over a comment. Because he is extremely friendly and positive, Connor has a diverse range of friends. Connor, thank you for modeling peaceful conflict resolution for all of us here at Tamanend.

Science Olympiads

We are proud of our Science Olympiads who competed at Neumann University last Wednesday despite the tricky weather. Congratulations to Connor B. and Rachel W. who earned second place medals in the Bio-Process Lab Event!

Tamanend Middle School PSSA & Keystone Testing Dates

7th Grade:

  • English/Language Arts (ELA): April 14-17
  • Math: April 21-23

8th Grade:

  • English/Language Arts (ELA): April 14-17
  • Math: April 21-23
  • Science Tests - April 28-29

Keystone in Algebra:

  • May 13-14

The best way to prepare for test days (and all school days) is for students to get a good night's sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and bring a bottle of water and a snack to school. Students should bring two #2 pencils for all testing days. Students should bring a calculator for the math tests. Students should NOT bring their phone or any other personal electronic devices to school on testing days.

Save the Date: Freshman Dance Planning Meeting

Planning is about to start for the Freshman Dance. Parents from all grade levels are invited to attend. Tamanend's Freshman Dance is a wonderful celebration for the 9th grade class. We need help planning, decorating, providing food, and/or cleaning up the following day. Any and all help is appreciated. We will be having a planning meeting on Thursday, March 19, at 7 pm in the Tamanend Cafeteria. Hope to see you there!

Nominate a TMS Student for Boomerang Recognition

CB Cares Educational Foundation recognizes and supports the students of Central Bucks School District for living by the 40 Developmental Assets. This month's asset is

At Tamanend, we encourage our parents and students to nominate TMS students along with our staff members. Please submit your Boomerang nomination using this online survey. Nominations for this Boomerang Asset are due March 22.
