A note from Mrs. Foster
Last Thursday we said goodbye to Zarek as he is moving to Houston, Texas. We had a great party and farewell for him - with the girls singing a song "Bye Bye Zarek" to the tune of " Bye Bye Birdie" There were a few tears and hard goodbyes for some of the students. Our class has not been quite the same without Zarek's energy and smile. We wish him and his family all the best in America.
There has been a lot happening in 2D. In writing the children are finishing up their last writing of the year, which they are saying is "Their BEST work yet". In math, continuing to learn, explore and use their math multiplication skills during games and group work. In social studies , learning about Qatar and how the discovery of Oil changed the country as well as traditions and celebrations in Qatar. And in reading, setting personal reading goals to focus on for the remainder of the year, while working on their Independent Reading Projects. There has also been a number of end of year assessments that the children have been doing. They have been focused and doing so well amongst all the busyness.
