Between a Rock and a Hard Place
Aron Ralston
Summary
"During a hike into the remote Utah canyon-lands Aron Ralston, a twenty-seven-year-old mountaineer and outdoors man found himself in his element with just the beauty of the natural world around him. Then, at 2:41 p.m., eight miles from his truck, in a deep and narrow slot canyon, an eight-hundred boulder tumbled loose, pinning Aron's right hand and wrist against the canyon wall."

Aron Ralston's Real Video Footage (One Clip - Aron Ralston)
Passage No. 1
The first passage I choose was the one when Aron broke his bones. I choose this because it shows how desperate he was to get out that he would do anything.
"I put my left hand under the boulder..." (280).
Surprising Detail
Something that surprised me was that Aron cut off his arm. This surprised me because up to that point, he kept saying how he would never have the courage to cut off his own arm.
"What are you doing, Aron?" (106).
