Holy Rosary School Derby
NEWSLETTER / TERM 2/ WEEK 4/ 17th May 2023

Message from Miss Melanie
The Year 6 students are looking forward to taking off to One Arm Point for camp next week. Miss Kylie and myself will be supporting the students for the week, it will be my first trip in that direction and like the Yr 6 students, I am looking forward to the experience. Look out for the after camp Facebook posts with all the pics and details.
We have some big events happening over the second half of the term. From May 27th to June 2nd we have Reconciliation Week. We are going to hold an afternoon tea for our Holy Rosary families to provide information regarding The Voice Referendum. This will be held in the Multipurpose room and details will be sent home closer to the day. There will be a Reconciliation Liturgy on Friday 2nd June at 1.45pm and the Year 5/6 students will officiate, merit awards will be presented following the liturgy. All families are encouraged to attend.
NAIDOC Week will take place in the final week of term. Planning is underway, with some great ideas already in the making. We will hold an activity day on the Wednesday for the whole school, and we welcome the HRSD Ngunga Women's Group Playgroup to share the day with us. We are also planning a couple of on-country activities, details will be shared when finalised.
God Bless.
Miss Mel
