Teaching Online
College of Liberal Arts
Two Day Workshop
Join us for this two day workshop that focuses on teaching the liberal arts online. This course covers both theory and practice.
Day one focuses on pedagogy. We explore the ways online teaching requires instructors to change the way they think about constructing courses. What works in an online environment and what doesn't? What are the differences between synchronous and asynchronous instruction? How do you build a syllabus for hyper-threaded space?
Day two focuses on tools. We explore the world of Blackboard and beyond. A combination of demonstration and workshop, you will learn to build your online learning space. Learn tips, tricks, and practical strategies for making the most of Blackboard. Discover online tools to supplement your teaching.
Instructors who complete this two day workshop will be prepared to begin teaching online.
