We are so blessed...

to have had such an awesome last week of term. Our tamariki continue to shine each and every day. We are excited with the progress, no matter how small ALL have made. We are excited see see the return of learning opportunities to mix and compete with other schools within, sporting and cultural areas happening once again.

We are mindful we have all been in our 'kura bubbles' for nearly two years now and in some way, it does seem strange to be able to participate within our Kāhui Ako o Kōhanga Moa opportunities and wider.

Our AMAZING staff continue to get up everyday to come to our kura to make a difference for your tamariki. I wish to thank them ALL publically for being 'ordinary people who are achieving extraordinary things" over the past three terms. - Ka rawe koutou.

Term 4 is a 9 week term, which feels a bit scary as we still have all the "normal" term 4 events to cover. I know we will get there, as a team we are united and strong.

EPro8 Challenge at IPS

This week a group of eager students came together to compete in an internal Science and engineering challenge called EPro8.

This entailed reading a set of challenges that they could pick and spending two hours working together, problem solving, working out measurements and constructing scarecrows and concrete mixers. Every moment was filled with focus and determination to succeed.

The students had to create a scarecrow with hinged arms or a concrete truck with a rotating mixer on its back.

The groups were competing for the prized spot of entering the Interschool challenge on November 2nd at Devon Intermediate.

Kāhui Ako o Kōhanga Moa Kapa haka Festival

Today we participated in the second Kāhui Ako o Kōhanga Moa Kapa haka Festival. Each kura represented with waiata, poi and haka.

Whaea Donna and Whaea Mel who have been working together with Mr Reade and tamariki to prepare for today's performance which was AMAZING.

It was beautiful to see all kura coming together for the finale section as Kāhui Ako o Kōhanga Moa

IPS REACH Talent Show

Our last two days have also included a wonderful; Talent Show, hosted by our REACH Reps. We have had entries of solo singers, dancers, groups and including a staff dance. Today we have more items from our Tamariki and also Staff. We will add pictures later.

Run Revolution

Year 7&8's have been lucky for the last few weeks to have Hayden from Run Revolution in to engage and excite our intermediate students in running.

Today was the last run with students choosing to participate in the 3km or 5km events as they complete the programme.
Thanks Hayden for choosing IPS as part of your Pilot Programme, we have absolutely loved it and highly recommend it.
