Holiday Concert

Under the direction of Mrs. Haynes, students performed an incredible Holiday Concert last evening. All the hard work paid off, as they sounded amazing! Thanks also to Mrs. Thompson for using her talents and playing with our students in the band.

Request for Frosting Containers from Mrs. T

Hello families! I am looking for donations of empty & clean frosting containers to help organize small cards for learning centers. The small Betty Crocker or Dunkin Heinz or Pillbury frosting containers are the perfect size. I need about 100. If you have any, please drop them off at the office or send them in with your child.

Many, many thank you's!

Training Active Bystanders program

Our 4th grade class learning valuable skills during their TAB (Training Active Bystander) class. This class is run by Quabbin Mediation and funded by a grant that they were able to obtain.

School Committee Presentation on Civic Engagement

Mrs. Ruggles and Mrs. Smith presented a "Glimpse into the Classroom" at last evening's PCS School Committee Meeting. They shared how they worked with the Petersham Historical Society to create an engaging and memorable field trip for our students. Students actually dressed up and became a student in one of the treasured restored Petersham schools. Afterwards, they ate on the Common and played games of the time period. PCS would like to thank all involved for providing this unique experience for our students!

PCS School Council

Mrs. Menard, Principal of PCS, will be starting up again the School Council for PCS this February. The School Council is made up of staff, parents, and community members. (Please note, it is a state rule that we need to have equal numbers of people in each of the represented groups.) This committee will have monthly meetings on a Tuesday beginning at 3 p.m. (which Tuesdays will be determined by the committee members). These meetings will run through May.

If you are interested in serving on the PCS School Council, please either send Kerri Lyden, the PCS PTG President, an email at kerrilyden@yahoo.com or call her at 978-895-1275. After she has the list of interested people, PTG members will have to vote on exactly who will represent them (again this is a state rule).

If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Principal Menard.

Snow Dates and Flurry Folder Dates To Date

Please remember to check email, all calls, FaceBook, TV and radio stations to know if a bad weather day is a true Snow Day or a Flurry Folder Day.

To date:

-day off due to no electricity - Monday, October 30th

-Flurry Folder Day 1- Tuesday, December 12th

-true Snow Day - Friday, December 22nd

-Flurry Folder Day 2 - Thursday, January 4th

-Flurry Folder Day 3 - Friday, January 5th
