Wolfpack Weekly Grades 7-8
Week of December 5th, 2022
7th Grade Math - Mrs. Goundry
Students are wrapping up their 2nd module after spending a few weeks working with percentages. We spent a good portion of our time focusing on percentages in the real world and seeing how our work from class can be applied to real-life situations.
Want to add some math to your dinner-time conversations?
Have your child calculate the tip on the dinner bill the next time you go out to eat.
Compare the interest rates available on auto loans, home mortgage loans, or savings accounts. Ask how the different rates could affect a monthly payment.
- Looking for a good sale? Students learned how to calculate discounts, markups, and sales tax. Next time you go shopping, have your child total your bill, with discounts and tax, before you head to the checkout line!
