Richland Reflections
Week of 9/21/20 at Richland Elementary School
WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL!

I am also so thankful for our teachers and staff! Richland staff have been working tirelessly to prepare for the start of school, and we are so happy to connect with your children in person and virtually. Please keep communication open and reach out to teachers with any questions.
We are reminded from our Leader in Me work to focus on our circle of influence and on things we can control. It is with that focus that we are assured we will have a great year knowing we are in this together!
Be well!

RICHLAND IS A PROUD LEADER IN ME SCHOOL!

We support students as leaders, teachers and staff as leaders, and parents and guardians as leaders. There's a leader in us ALL! It's often students who take the initiative when they see a need and work to address it. This year, we will continue to have a student leadership team with representatives from each grade level, and we look forward to students and families helping us lead the way!

FOR HYBRID STUDENTS' VIRTUAL LEARNING OR 100% VIRTUAL STUDENTS:
Attendance will be taken daily. When learning virtuallty, all students are to complete their "check-in" activity as explained by their teachers by 2:00 daily. To allow for the completion of work asynchronously, students may complete other school activities after 2:00, but the check-in must be completed by 2:00 in order to be marked as present.
IF YOUR CHILD IS ABSENT:
You will receive an email after 2:00 on the day your child is marked absent. The school must receive an excuse from you within 3 days of the absence.
New this year, you may respond to the email with your absence reason. If you prefer, you may send in an absence note to the office. All excuses must be received within 3 days of the absence.

Breakfast will be served in our lunch room from 8:45-9:00.
Lunch is cold service, with three selections daily: A sandwich or wrap, a salad with a protein and roll, or a Grape/Peanut Butter Uncrustable.
