To our Veterans and Active Service Members: Thank you for your service!

Save the Date: Our next PTA meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 14 at 6:30pm in the Lemme Library. We will be having ICCSD Equity Director, Kingsley Botchway II as a guest speaker. He will be sharing on the topic of race, and how we can discuss this topic with our children. We hope you are able to join us!

Parent/Teacher Conferences

We love having the opportunity to share the progress your child is making and setting goals for the rest of the year! The next conference day/night is November 15- 7:40am-7:10pm There is no school this day for students!

If you have NOT scheduled a conference for your child, please contact his/her teacher as soon as possible.

Interested in Swimming Lessons???

Learning to swim is an opportunity every child should have, not only because of the recreation and exercise it provides, but also because it can help keep children safe. According to the National Safe Kids Campaign, drowning is the second leading cause of injury-related death among children ages 1 through 14. To ensure that every child in our community has the chance to learn to swim, the City of Iowa City Recreation Division offers a scholarship program to help cover the costs of Red Cross-sanctioned lessons for children who otherwise might not be able to participate. Currently, the City’s aquatics program teaches nearly 3,000 individuals to swim each year.

The swim lesson scholarship provides funds to cover full participation in the Iowa City Parks and Recreation basic/group swim lesson program. Families with children ages 18 or younger who demonstrate the need for assistance are strongly encouraged to apply.
