A Message from Mrs. Stauffer
Dear Rainbow Families,
During this Thanksgiving season, I would like to express how grateful I am to be part of the Rainbow Elementary School community. As an administrator, I am thankful for Rainbow’s students who demonstrate Wildcat Pride daily by being safe, responsible, and respectful during instruction.
I am grateful for the support of parents and families for building an excellent community for our students. I am also thankful that our parents have kept trust and confidence in us. Rainbow has parents who work hard and advocate to be a partner in their children’s education, safety, and well-being. For this, I will always be thankful.
I am grateful for the teachers, secretaries, our school nurse, cafeteria staff, custodial staff, support staff, paraprofessionals, and counselors who care about students and their academic, social, and emotional success. Rainbow has dedicated and hard-working individuals who go above and beyond to make sure that great things happen in our school. Rainbow's staff makes a difference, and our students benefit from those efforts.
I would like to wish all of you and your families a healthy, relaxing, and happy Thanksgiving recess!

Hour of Code
We are excited to announce our districtwide Hour of Code Event on December 8, 2022!
We live in a world surrounded by technology. And we know that whatever field our students choose to go into as adults, their ability to succeed will increasingly depend on understanding how technology works.
But only a fraction of us are learning how technology works. Only 51% of all high schools offer computer science.
That’s why our entire school district is joining in on the largest learning event in history: The Hour of Code, on December 8, 2022. More than 100 million students worldwide have already tried an Hour of Code. Our Hour of Code is making a statement that the Coatesville Area School District is ready to teach these foundational 21st-century skills. To continue bringing programming activities to your students, we want to make our Hour of Code event huge. We encourage you to speak with your children about this great opportunity. We are looking forward to sharing our students' engagement in this event on December 8, 2022.
This is a chance to change the future of education in Coatesville!

Parent-Pick-Up Notes: Thank you for having patience with us as we work to make our afternoon dismissal more efficient. Please help up with this by sending a parent pick up note into school with your student. You may send in a handwritten note or download and print the form below.

Message from the Cafeteria
Students are welcome to purchase milk for $0.75 during lunch. If a student would like to choose a milk, fruit and veggie (they are not required to take the entrée item), we can offer the complete reimbursable meal to them at no charge. Unfortunately, if a student selects just milk, we will have to charge it as an a la carte item.
