NOTE FROM MRS. BARRETT
Dear North Families:
What an exciting start to our new school year! There is something truly special about the beginning of our school year and our community being back together. The energy and enthusiasm is felt throughout our building and we are so proud of how well the year has started.
Make sure to mark your calendars for our North Parent Night on Thursday, Sept. 15th. This is a night for our parents/guardians only to gather more information and insight as we learn and grow together.
Thank you for your continued support.
Warm regards,
Michelle Barrett
Principal

Reporting Student Absences via ParentVue
District 47’s attendance reporting procedures are changing for the 2022-23 school year. If a child will be absent from school, parents/guardians must log into ParentVue to report the absence before the start of the school day -- by 8:50 a.m. (preK and elementary) and by 7:30 a.m. (middle school). Once logged into ParentVue, click the Report Absence button to complete the quick, two-step process. If you need help logging into ParentVue or have questions, see the links below or contact the parent help desk at hd@d47.org.
BPAC and Title I Meetings
Districts 47 and 155 are partnering this year to form a Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee (BPAC) to support the needs of the bilingual and multilingual families and students in our community. Please join us on August 26, 2022 at 10 AM at Panera Restaurant in Crystal Lake to plan our partnership for the 2022-23 school year. We are looking for ideas and parent leaders to help partner with our district leaders. Please fill out the google form that you can access with the QR code on this flyer to express your interest in attending our meeting on August 26. We hope to see you there! Please contact sknope@d155.org or rmmorton@d47.org with questions.
The annual Title I parent meeting will be held Thurs., Sept. 1st @ 6 p.m. at the CORE Center, 300 Commerce Drive in Crystal Lake.
Garden Club - 8/30
The Garden Club will meet Tuesday August 30th right after school at 3:30! The club meets at the school's garden, which is located in a courtyard area behind the school on the west side of the building. (It is near the gym and 5th grade hallway exit.) We had another successful summer! We planted green beans, green onions, spinach, radishes, tomatoes, zinnias and more! If your student would like to learn more about gardening, where our food comes from or just wants to be a part of the community, please join us! Parents need to remain with their children but are not obligated to participate :) Keep in mind they will have their hands in the garden so they might get a little dirty! Contact hannahpfaff@gmail.com to get on the email list or with any questions.
