Davenport's Weekly Update
Week of March 21st, 2021
Message from the Principal
Greetings,
Happy MARCH EDUCATION MADNESS!
We had a successful 4 day return! The staff and students were so excited to see everyone together! We had a special guest, Mighty Eagle, stop by to greet the students. We also had a visit from our Superintendent Dr. Gruccio.
What a way to start our first week of 4 day Hybrid! We are looking forward to more exciting moments together at Davenport Complex.
Parents, please be reminded of the following:
- You should arrive no later that 1:50pm for parent pickup.
- Remember to complete the health screening document if your child is not feeling well.
- All 4 day Hybrid students are expected to attend school daily. If the student will not be in-person, please inform your child's teacher and the main office staff so we are aware of the reason for the absence.
Have a great weekend!
Mrs. White

Student Achievement
March Madness
Mrs. Doyle's 3rd grade class has been feeling the March Madness! With the round of Sweet 16 playing out, each of her students picked a school name out of a hat and are now rooting for that team! The students researched the college they had chosen to find its location, and also designed their own mascot to display on their desk. The class' bracket is displayed on their back board; ready for the competition this weekend. They can't wait to see who will make it to the final four and more importantly, who will be crowned champion!
Kindergarten Kindness
Kindness knew no boundaries this past week as Mrs. Lukas' kindergarten classes combined cohorts! They had a great week working, learning, and getting to know each other. Mrs. Lukas' students also enjoyed Dropping Everything And Reading...applying the reading skills they are currently learning in their independent reading.

Renaissance Spirit Week
Davenport Renaissance kicked off the 4+1 Hybrid Rotation with a Spirit Week. Sidewalks were chalked, and each day brought favorite colors, characters, EHT pride and freaky Friday gear to show school spirit and create excitement for the students this week. Both teachers and students were delighted to be together again in a socially distanced, fun filled atmosphere at Davenport.
