E-Colors in Education in Singapore
This week marked another milestone in ECiE’s incredible short history. Thanks to one of our lead supporter's proactive approach towards giving back to the community we agreed to partner to explore the possibilities of bringing E-Colors and Personal Intervention into the education system in Singapore.
Immediately before Chinese Year, Michael Ong and Lewis Senior teamed up with Juliana Loh Hui Ling and Diana Lee from Chevron, and met with the mayor and leadership team of CDC, Singapore.
Having had the initial meeting on Thursday, on Friday an E-Colors and PI Awareness session was run for the whole CDC team. As you can see we were also blessed to have Juliana’s daughter Isabelle with us for the four hour workshop. She provided multiple ‘aha moments' and positive touch points that validated for the adults in the room how quickly young students can pick up on this simple yet effective approach to social and emotional intelligence awareness.
We look forward to sharing our progress in the months to come.
Houston Zoo :: Personal Intervention
Our session was held in the Gorilla Tree House. Every now and then you could see a gorilla by the window. The zoo team will continue to extend their learning in the coming months with additional sessions.
Sam Houston State University - Learning Academies
TJ Bittick (B/G) expressed, "Excellent session today at our Sam Houston State University's Learning Academies @ SHSU with Dr. Rosalinda Mercado-Garza, PhD from E-colors in Education. Learned about Personal Intervention and how we can learn to RESPOND, not just REACT. Then, we celebrated with BALLOONS! Can't beat that, right?"
