MYSTERY...
A person break 52 years ago is still one of Americas greatest mysterious. The prisoners who escaped from the deadly conditions of the Alcatraz prison were never heard from again. “It’s the myth that grabs the attention”. Everything is known on how they escaped from their cells and how they moved over the roof and how they built their raft and then entered the water and then poof. Nothing more
RESEARCH AND EVIDENCE...
Alcatraz, which earned the nickname of the "Rock", was the ultimate American prison. Blood letters and bad men and assorted public enemies like Al Capone, Alvin Karpis and Machine-Gun Kelly and others, called this place the end of the line. For 29 years, the damp, fogged-in prison kept the country’s most notorious criminals put away from the rest of the world. The heavy mists, cold wind and water and the foghorns of the bay made Alcatraz the loneliest of the prisons.Prisoners were given four basic things food, clothing, shelter and medical care. Receiving anything beyond that had to be earned
WHAT REALLY HAPPENED...
There have been many theories, but most end with the three prisoners escape being swept to their death. “Prisoners, rangers and visitors have reported a wide range of alleged ghostly activity on Alcatraz, from whispering in cells and locked cell doors shutting, to phantom figures in corridors, cold spots and even the sounds of musical instruments and sewing machines." Officials for Alcatraz have dismissed the reports of ghosts at Alcatraz as nonsense and deny their existence.
FACTS...
Alcatraz closed as a prison in 1963, but this mystery remains open.
