GREEK WEEK T-SHIRT SALES

From Monday, May 2 - May 6, t-shirts will only cost $5. After that date until May 18th, t-shirts will cost $8. Greek Week t-shirts can be purchased at the AGHS webstore or at the Student Business Office. Five points per shirt will be earned for purchasing your designated class color. Show you class pride and buy one soon!

MAKE SURE TO CLEAR YOUR ABSENCES

Clear Absences by Midnight Monday, 4/25/22. Attendance Month Deadline - Please make sure that the Attendance Office is informed of the reason for any still unverified absences for 3/28/22 - 4/15/22. After that date, we will not be able to make any changes.

AGHS DANCE COMPANY

Dance Company performance in the Clark Center May 4th at 7pm. Tickets are $10, Come Check us out!!


Dance Company Auditions: May 18th at 3:30 in the Dance room. Contact Mrs. Solis in room 150 if you have any questions.

AGHS Theatre Company CA Thespian Festival

  • AGHS Theatre's production of Kaleidoscope by Ray Bradbury, directed by AGHS student Sophie Long, was selected in January as one of only three productions in the state to be presented at the CA Festival. After performing, AGHS Theatre was honored with being chosen as the best (chapter select) and has been asked to represent California at the International Thespian Festival this June! This is a huge honor. The Cast includes Justus Bates, Kaliana Diaz, Nolan LeMay, Dylan Long, Andy Miklas, Annabelle Oglesby, and Aiden Wolstenholm.
  • Students Nolan LeMay and Sophie Long won second place in the state for Musical Duet with their song "Too Late to Turn Back Now" from the musical Bonnie & Clyde.
  • Students Aiden Wolstenholm and Kaveh Naficy competed in solo acting and successfully made it to the second and final round of competition.
  • The trio of Sophie Long, Olivia McDonald, and Annabelle Oglesby won Judge's choice in Thespian's Got Talent singing their song "Falling Out of Love Can Be Fun"

~Seniors~

GIVE BACK 250 POTENTIAL HONOREES: Please note that the deadline to submit hours is April 28th to Mr. Hurtado in room #919. If you want to know more, swing by his classroom.


COLLEGE VISITS: Seniors and juniors planning a college/military visit should stop by the Attendance Office to pick up an Excused Absence Request form ahead of their visit. If approved, up to two days may be excused. Visits that will last longer than two days would require a Short Term Independent Study Contract to excuse the absence.

~Career Center News~

Cuesta College

Cuesta is here on campus a couple of days a week to help you register for classes. Stop by the College & Career Center (room 208) to sign up to get Cuesta to help or for more information.


Cuesta Enrichment Workshop will be held Monday, April 25th from 3-4 pm in the Career Center (room 208). Stop by if you need help signing up for your Cuesta Summer class.

Homework Center

The Homework Center has new hours! From 3:00-4:00 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, come to the HW Center to have a quiet place to focus and complete your work! Be sure to show up before 3:15 as the HW Center will close if there are no students by then. See you there!

Community Service Opportunities

HARLOE SPRING EVENT

Harloe is looking for volunteers to help with this year's "Spring Event" this Friday the 29th. Set up will begin at 3pm. The event will be from 5 to 7:30pm followed by clean up afterwards. If interested, please contact Jill Richards at harloevicepresident@gmail.com

Submitting your community service hours

The Google Form for Community Service Hours is used for the graduation requirement of 20 hours. Any hours in addition to your graduation requirement should be submitted on the Give Back 250 Google Classroom with Mr. Hurtado.

TEACHER PARTICIPATION: As case managers and counselors are setting up meetings with students with Fs, it is absolutely vital and expected that all teachers participate in IEP, 504 and SST meetings. It is imperative that you provide your feedback and participation...a sub can be provided if needed, just let the case manager know. Please indicate on the calendar invite why you can’t make it if you decline.
