Reading Test: Our weekly reading test has 10 questions on it. I will read the questions/statements and the students will read the answer choices.

Pumpkin Book Reports are due October 24.

Fall Festival: We need YOU! If you can volunteer for Fall Festival on October 28 please sign up using the link below.

Fall Festival: Each class will be responsible for a gift basket. Our gift basket will be kitchen gadgets. Please send in one kitchen gadget to add to our basket or send in a donation and I will purchase items for our basket.

Keep collecting Box Tops and send them to school with your child. Our PTO turns them in for money to use at our school. The class with the most Box Tops will win a party. The deadline to turn them in is Friday, October 21.

We will have a spelling test on Friday. Study the spelling/phonics words in the homework packet.

We will have a reading comprehension test on Fun with Fish on Thursday. Practice reading the story each night and ask your child questions about the story. The story is included in the homework packet.

Fry words are in the green folder that comes home daily. I have highlighted the ones that your child knows at school. Fry words have to be known by sight within 3 seconds to be marked off. The goal is to know 100 words by the end of the second 9 weeks.

Things to Remember

* Send a snack to school daily

* Bring Green Folder and Agenda to school each day

* Homework is sent home on Fridays and is due the following Friday.

* Wear tennis shoes on Wednesdays and Thursdays and some Fridays.

* Please send in an art shirt if you would like your child to wear one during art.
