May Day
On May 4th, KRS volunteers worked together to tend to the KRS landscape to plant, spread mulch, and work in the garden. The volunteers also erected Peace Poles near the front of the school. Thank you to all the volunteers!!!!! Our school grounds look beautiful because of you!
Success Night/Curriculum Night
On May 14th, students, families, and teachers will convene from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at KRS, to tour the classrooms to view the students' work and celebrate their success! The KRS PTO will provide delicious ice cream for the KRS students.
Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week
This week we celebrated our KRS teachers and staff for their dedication and all they do for our students. Thank you to the PTO for the special ways they showed their appreciation during this week. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch, a cookie bar, a candy bar, and wonderful notes of appreciation.
Congratulations to Nurse Gerri Moran! She is the Kings Road School Educational Services Professional of the Year!
Nurse Moran is in her fifth year as a nurse at Kings Road School. Before coming to Madison, Nurse Moran was a school nurse in a neighboring district for 11 years. She is known for her expertise, positive demeanor, kindness, and proactive energy.
Congratulations to Alyssa Fine! She is our Kings Road School Teacher of the Year!
Miss Fine is a second grade teacher in her fourth year as a second grade teacher. She is known for her dedication, positive outlook, ability to connect with students, and enthusiasm for her role in supporting the students at KRS.
Chorus, Band, and Orchestra Concert - May 20, 2019 7PM Madison Junior School
On the evening of May 20th, our extremely talented fourth and fifth grade musicians will perform for families and friends in the Madison Junior School auditorium.
Madison Arbor Day/May Day Ceremony - May 4, 2019
Madison elementary students performed at the Madison Arbor Day/May Day ceremony on the steps of Dodge Hall. Kings Road School fifth grade poets recited their poems about nature in front of Mayor Conley and other town citizens. It was a wonderful day to cerebrate May Day, students, trees, and the Madison community.

KRS Makerspace
Working with STEAM teacher Mr. Jason Knevals, second grade students collaborated to make, learn, and explore together utilizing a variety of tools and materials. Our KRS makerspace is in our media center.
