Physical inactivity can cause premature death, chronic disease and disability. Health Canada encourages Canadians to integrate physical activity into their every day life; at home, at school, at work, at play, and on the way. You'll have more energy, feel healthy, strong, and good about yourself.

As a high school student it is recommended that teens get at least one hour of physical activity on most, preferably all, days of the week. Yet physical activity tends to lag during the teen years.

Tips & Tricks

  • Walk or run, instead of taking the bus or getting a ride.
  • Sing in the shower, it helps you massage your jaws.
  • Get involved
  • Get a good night sleep
  • Be optimistic
  • Choose activities that you are interested in and try new things
