Vision and Hearing Screening
Calling all Pope Parents
We are still in need of volunteers for our vision and hearing screening days! Please consider signing up to have fun with our Panthers on these days! We still need volunteers for the following roles:
Runners: As a runner, you get to escort small groups of kiddos from large group to the screening room, and then return them to large group when they are done! It is very entertaining and fun, and you will meet your step goal for the day!
Vision Pointers: You help point to the letters on the vision charts during the vision screening to help the students know which letter they are supposed to read! It is so helpful, rewarding and fun as well!
At the end of this month, our Pope Panthers will be screened for vision and hearing. Please mark these dates on your calendar, as we look forward to completing our screening for our Panthers! Opportunities to volunteer at this event are available on the sign up genius below. Please remember to send your student with their glasses on these days:
- Thursday, September 28th
- Tuesday, October 3rd
Thank you for considering!

Dear Parent/Guardian of a CFISD 5th Grade Student,
The parent/guardian of a 5th grade student may opt their child into the Young Adult collection of books at their campus library*. The description of the Young Adult collection is available in the Parent Portal, which can be accessed by clicking the link on the district website (https://www.cfisd.net/domain/10). If you would like to choose for your student to have access to the Young Adult collection, please visit the parent portal and select opt-in. If you do not want your student to access the Young Adult collection, no action is needed. Your student will have default access to the Juvenile collection of books unless you have opted your student out of the library. If you have any questions, please contact your campus librarian.
*Note from the librarian: the Pope Library does NOT have a Young Adult collection.
