There is a complete summary of the events posted here. In addition, you can view a video of the program on the district YouTube page.

Calling all Dads and Father Figures! It's time for Dads and Donuts!

When: Friday, April 15th

Time: 8:30 am

Where: Schumacher Gym

What: Come and have a donut and juice with your student, courtesy of PTA! This is just a time for dads to come spend a little time at Schumacher with their kids before school.

We invite all dads who are able to come to join their student for a quick breakfast in the Schumacher gym before school. If your student's dad is unable to attend, please feel free to bring a grandpa, uncle, or other "substitute". See you there!

This year, our Shark 5K will be held on April 15th from 5:30-7:30pm. We will be raising money to support local and national charities chosen by Student Council and voted on by Schumacher students and staff. The charities being supported will be Unleashed Animal Rescue, Heart to Heart International, and Hillcrest Transitional Housing. The event will take place on the Schumacher trail. All are welcome to come raise money and awareness for these great organizations. We will have water and snack stations, a book fair, and music. Registration is accepted on a donation basis, with a suggested donation of $15 per registrant. Come join us!

Donate clothes & help Schumacher PTA raise funds!

We are kicking off a clothing drive with our fundraising partner, Schoola. What's Schoola? It's a great new way to raise funds for our school. Schoola collects pre-loved women's and children's clothes, preps and sells them online, and gives 40% of the proceeds back to our school to help fund activities for our kids. That's $2 out of every $5 back to our school! Schoola will deduct the inbound shipping from our earnings, so be sure to send only items they can resell. As a rule of thumb, this means items in good shape that originally retailed for more than $15.

How you can help:

Fill a bag with gently used kids and women's clothes (clean clothing in new or like new condition), attach the sticker we sent home (we have extras in the Schumacher office), and bring to school no later than Friday, April 15th. We'll be collecting clothes in a big box outside of the main office.

Thanks for your support. Let's see how much we can raise for our kids!

Liberty High School's Technology Student Association is hosting its second Liberty Engineering and Design (LEAD) camp for students entering K-5. This event will be held on May 27th at Liberty High School from 8:45am-3:00pm and will cover a fun, diverse range of topics. There will be many engaging, age- group-related projects in engineering disciplines, such as civil, aerospace, chemical, and electrical. Registration is open now and is restricted to 20 students in each grade on a first come, first served basis. All supplies, lunch, a project to take home, and a t-shirt are included in the cost of $40. Email your student's name and grade to dboden@liberty.k12.mo.us. You will be emailed a link to the full registration.

LCHAT is partnering with Clay County Public Health Center & the City of Liberty to conduct a Health Impact Assessment. The assessment is in regards to street design and having sidewalks on one or two sides of the street, and its impact on walkability and connectivity, and thus, the impact on the health of Liberty residents.

The survey is open through April 18th. They will be using this information as part of a written report for the City of Liberty regarding city ordinances for future development.

The link to the confidential survey is below, and shouldn't take longer than 5-8 minutes to respond. And please feel free to forward to any other Liberty residents you know.
