Students are building and constructing different structures using numerous different materials. They are challenging themselves to make creations that can stand independently requiring a strong foundation. We are also supporting their classroom study of comparative vocabulary by experimenting with measurement using tape measures. Students are exploring “Busy Boards” leaning how open, lock and unlock numerous different styles of latches from a standard gate latch to a carabiner.

Art
Pre-kindergarten students are exploring what happens when white is added to a color. They are using finger paints to mix white with a color (orange, red, blue, green and purple) to create a lighter version of that color. They are learning these light tints of colors are called pastels. Next, they will discover what happens to colors when black is added. Consider an exploration for pastel colors in your home; how many can you find?
