- Students will be working in their 'Think Tank' groups to complete a final project.
- All information can be found on Schoology.
- We will use a majority of class time to complete these projects, but you might see small portions of it come home for some additional work.
Upcoming World History
- We continue to investigate Ancient Civilizations.
- We are consistently using Close Reading strategies of informational text to guide our note-taking and resource creation.
- We are creating Infographics on Mesopotamia and will also have quizzes along the way for assessment.
INDEPENDENT BOOK SELECTION
With our completion of our latest novel study, we will be diving back into Independent Reading.
Students should have an independent book selected and in class with them by Monday January 27, 2020
Looking forward to seeing the variety of choices!
Writer's Workshop
Free writing, argumentative writing and writing with use of evidence and examples is a continued focus.
We've explored several strategies in making our writing across the curriculum more clear and to the point.
Ask your student to share about the "Writing Out Loud" strategy to help guide their work!
SCHOOLOGY
We will FOCUS on schoology even MORE FREQUENTLY for students to gain increased independence with their work both at school and at home.
Schoology not only shares with you the plans for the day in each class, it also houses homework and resources needed in order to complete that work.
Q3 will be a focus on using this tool to help become a more independent Middle Level Learner!
