Dear GRE Families,
We survived our first bout of snow/sleet/ice! It's that time of year where you need to make sure your child is coming to school with a coat, gloves, hat, and scarves on cold days. If you know of a family in need of these items, please reach out to us at school. We are happy to help! This week is our final week of the Stuff the Bus Food Drive! Let's fill that bus GRE!
Thank you to those that were able to volunteer at our PTO meeting on Thursday to help us sort through our library books! Look for another opportunity to get involved in the future. Now that we are half way through November, teachers and students have begun to work hard on our Winter Benchmark Assessments. These assessments are discussed at our Winter Data Team meetings in December. You will receive this information in December along with your child's report card. All of this information will come home on December 19th.
Here's to a great week!

Meet Ms. Duffy!
As many of you may know I am expecting a baby boy very soon! My last day will be Monday and my long term substitute, Erin Duffy will be filling in for me in art while I am gone. Ms. Duffy has taught 7th-12th grade art for five years and is excited to work with our awesome elementary aged students! She has lots of fantastic ideas and I will be excited to see what the students have created while I am out!
Congrats to our Golden Spatula Winners!
This week we introduced the "Golden Spatula Award" at lunch time. This prize is awarded to one class at each grade level. Throughout the week, we look for students who are following our lunch room expectations. It was awesome to see the kids get so excited-please help us congratulate our winners for the week of November 11th!
