Weekly Updates for LCMS Staff

by TAMI GUNSET

Dear Staff,

I hope that you have had a restful three day weekend. It has been a great first two weeks of school and I THANK YOU for the smooth start. I have enjoyed walking through each of your classrooms and will make it to those this week that I have not visited. I am seeing some great instruction and students engaged. Goals meetings are going well! Please make sure that you have completed the Google Form for Goal Setting. Once we have completed the meetings, we will be sending your goals sheet to you for your reference through out the six weeks. Please let me know if you need anything...looking forward to another great year!.
Please review the revised grading procedures (click on title above to view) as the progress reporting period is coming and grades will be due September 14 by midnight. Please let me know if you have any questions. This would also be a great time to start making those parent contact of students struggling in your class. Student failing for the six weeks without parent contact is not acceptable.

Goal Setting Meeting - Week of September 8th

I have scheduled times that we will be meeting with you on your goals for the 2015-16 instructional year. We will come to your classroom to hold the meeting. Please have a goal in mind to work on this school year and submit your goal through the Google Form Teacher Goal. I expect the meetings to last hopefully no more than 20 minutes. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Elementary & Middle School UIL Competition: November 17, 2015

Lubbock-Cooper ISD is hosting the elementary and middle school academic UIL contest on November 17, 2015. The district has received a waiver from TEA excusing non-participating students from attending school on that date. Employees are expected to report for UIL academic duty as assigned on that date.
