Dear Pawsome Loring Families,

As we wrap up another school year, I want to thank you for your continued support. This will be my official last newsletter of the school year so please take a few minutes to read it over. I work over the summer, so if you need anything, please reach out.

The Art Show was this past Friday and such an amazing event. If you weren't able to attend, I have included a collection of pictures that Mrs. Danielson has put together for you to see some of the amazing artwork created by our students and staff. A huge shout out to Mrs. Danielson, families, and high school volunteers for making our 2nd Art Show a huge success!

The Fun Run was another great Loring event! My son is still talking about how much fun he had and made me promise he could come back next year! Thanks to everyone that was able to get donations to help our school, together we were able to raise just over $19,000! If you missed it, here is the video of Mr. Gaita getting a pie in the face! This was because we met our goal of 80% of students registering online for the Fun Run.

It has been wonderful to see things geting back to normal this year. The fact that we completed a full year, in person is great and I know it was beneficial for all of your children. Watching them grow both academically and emotionally has been a joy and I wish you an amazing summer to rest, relax, have fun and recharge for an even better year next year!

4 E Expo

Today our 4th graders demonstrated their learning at our 4 E Expo. It was so wonderful to see the students sharing their projects with families, staff, and our current third graders. Everyone did a great job! A HUGE shout out to our 4th grade teachers who helped plan and facilitate the learning and empower our students to "be knowledgeable, creative, independent thinkers who are caring, collaborative members of our school and wider communities." I also want to thank Holly Estes, Danny Garrigan-Byerly, and Sandra Walters for helping with this special event.

Pride Month

June is Pride Month when the world's LGBT communities come together and celebrate the freedom to be themselves. Pride Month commemorates years of struggle for civil rights and the ongoing pursuit of equal justice under the law for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning community, as well as the accomplishments of LGBTQ individuals.

Here are some resources that may help your family as you talk about Pride Month. I have also included a flyer of an event happening in Sudbury on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. I am planning to attend with my son so I hope to see you there!

Loring Core Values

At Loring School, we are PAWSOME because we show our Core Values! These values are part of everyday life at Loring and reinforced in the classroom, at recess, and all around our school.

Students are taught the meaning of each word and how they make us better students and citizens.

Respect ~ Responsibility ~ Caring ~ Best Effort

The Loring Pledge

The Loring Pledge is said every morning during our daily announcements. Loring students embody our pledge and we hope this stays with them not only when they are at school but home as well.
