Disney "Cast Members"
Disney Employees are not to be referred as employees but as 'Cast Members" not matter their role at the park. They are not allowed to frown or slouch while on the job because it takes away from the welcoming atmosphere all Disney employees are expected to have. All employees follow a strict set of rules in order to keep the Disney spirit throughout the entire park, technically all Disney employees that are in a public place owned by Disney are considered to be on stage. Disney typically pays their workers something from 11.50 to 15.00 dollars an hour. Its important for all cast members to be warm an welcoming in order to make Disney World "the happiest place on earth"
Disney Characters
Disney cast members that dress as characters follow the same set of rules as all other employees except for some minor changes. Characters are to stay in character at all times they aren't supposed to respond to their actual name unless they are back stage. They are in charge of making families (mostly the children" believe they are real and give them a magical experience. Characters can only take pictures with guest at designated spots when they are on duty .They contribute to the Disney experience my helping to create memories for families and making guest feel like they truly are at the "happiest place on earth."
