How to identify the elements in stars
- There are not a lot of ways to identify the elements in stars since they are so far away. However one way to find out the elements in a star is by their makeup of the light they produce.
- One way of doing this is by using a spectroscope. A spectroscope is a scientific instrument that splits colors into different wavelengths.
- This tool can be used by astronomers to help them identify the elements in stars by the different colors and wavelengths coming from the star, this is helpful because it allows them to get a larger idea what the star is made of.
- Different colors and there patterns show what elements are in a star.
