There were 93 attendees representing 14 states: California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Tennessee, and Texas. On May 6, 2016, Hernandez was a webinar presenter for the Network of Illinois Learning Resources in Community Colleges; twenty-one representatives from community colleges and colleges participated. Texas Teen Book Festival
It was a 23 hour field trip. Talk about total devotion to books and authors. Eight PSJA CCTA students were able to participate by obtaining autographs from authors, attending author panel discussions, and having a tour of St. Edwards University. Enjoy the pictures!
Banned Book Week
Students were introduced to books that have been challenged or banned. Many of our library patrons enjoyed the Banned Book display and were surprised by some of the titles. :)
Library Card Sign-Up Month
PSJA CCTA Library had about 30 students sign-up for a library card with the San Juan Public Library. Students from all school programs took advantage of this great opportunity. A special thank you to Library Director Armandina Sesin and her staff for taking the time to provide this service to our students.
