Discipline without Stress

Steps to Raise Responsibility in the Classroom
1. Teach the Hierarchy - Students will understand the difference between the levels, leading them to want to aim for the highest level.
2. Ask Students to Reflect - Ask the student to identify the hierarchy level of the behavior they exhibited. This helps separate the deed from the doer by allowing the student to identify what their misbehavior.
3. Elicit Changes in Behavior - If behavior continues, give students a prompt to self-reflect on the actions and enable them to build a plan for redirection in the future.
