What to look forward to:
- Romeo and Juliet
- Monster
- Poetry
Romeo and Juliet By William Shakespear
Juliet is pretty, loves romeo, and she died for him. Romeo loves Juliet and he fights for her. He kills her cousin and she still wants to be with him. Juliet faked her first death bu the second was real.
Monster By Walter Dean Myers
The main character is Steve Harmon. They thought he robbed a store. He writes to his little brother while on trial. At the end he wasn't trialed as guilty.
Poetry
Make sure you take a lot of notes. There are many types of poetry. You have to do spoken word poetry. Poetry is a good thing to do in English.
Independent reading/Book talks
You learn how to read better. You get time in class to read sometimes. You get a grade because you have to do a book talk. A book talk is when the teachers ask you questions about your book.
Your fave
I liked Monster. It was a really good book. We did an argument thing and it was awesome to see different opinion.
Your not so fave
I really didn't go good on independent reading. I don't like reading and just didn't have time to read.
How to stay organized
- Make sure you get a binder
- You need to get dividers
- Put papers in the spot their suppose to be in
- Don't just shove papers anywhere
- Make sure you have them in order
