Rainbows over Kincaid...symbol of Hope
This photo was taken last year by our Kincaid parent Hali Gravelle. It is a beautiful photo of our beloved school, double rainbows, and glistening clock tower. The rainbow is a symbol for hope. During this time of school closures, we hope this rainbow reminds you that it will not always be this way. Schools will open back up. We were saddened to learn this past week that it will not happen for the remainder of this year. Students and teachers will be reunited back inside once again. Let's continue to build each other up and look for the good during the hard times. This difficult time will pass. We will be stronger because we went through it together.
Teachers, students, and parents are becoming more comfortable with the tools available online and our face-to-face zoom meetings. I have received overwhelming positive message from our school families about the work teachers are doing every day to support individual student needs. Thank you Kincaid Teachers, assistants, and tutors for providing unique learning opportunities to your students. Thank you parents, for your patience with us as we learned together these first few weeks.
With the news that schools will be closed for the remainder of the year, ASD leadership will be working on a plan for families to retrieve personal items from schools. Please continue to be patient with us while we wait for the guidance and permission to move forward.
Sincerely,
Wendy Zorea
Principal
Message from Kincaid Coyote Staff
Mrs. Zorea's Zoom Meetings
These meetings are great for parents to ask questions and for students to check in and let us know how they are doing. Ms. Heather, our librarian, will be joining Mrs. Zorea every Monday and Friday to read a special story to our students. We hope you can join us.
To keep our ZOOM meetings safe from unwanted, disruptive intruders, we cannot post our links on pubic pages. Ask your child's teacher if you would like to attend and need the link. The link is the same for all Principal Zoom meetings. You can also find the link in an email sent from the school.
