Our “Popcorn ‘N More” fundraiser is in full swing! Please send out the link below to all friends and family, as well as adding it to social media.
Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band will begin Monday afternoon/evening rehearsals this Monday. Symphonic Band will be 2:45-4:15 and Wind Ensemble from 4:30-6:15. These two bands will also continue with section rehearsals at their usual times. Please check with your students that are in these groups and make sure they are at their prescribed days/times.
Students who are performing a solo at UIL contest on February 4 should be continuing to practice on that music. Students who play with a piano accompanist will be rehearsing with their accompanist once this week, and once the following week after school. Times and locations have been posted in the band hall for these rehearsals. Students utilizing a piano accompanist should pay their accompanist directly by their second rehearsal. $35 for a class II or III solo, $40 for a class I.
All musicians have assigned a small ensemble. Students should be practicing this music individually and in groups outside of class. They will be expected to set up at least 4 outside of class rehearsals with their small ensembles, during Falcon Lunch, after school, or on the weekends at someone’s house.
The Winter Guard continues to have rehearsals this week on Tuesday and Thursday in preparation for their first contest on Saturday, February 4 at Morton Ranch HS.
Hello, Seniors and Senior Band Parents!
I am working on band gifts for the seniors and need some help with collecting pictures and information for all of our senior band students.
Please fill out the following form to submit information and photos by no later than midnight, Sunday, February 12, 2023, to be sure that I have time to create and order the gifts before the Band Banquet!
