TECH LAW STUDENTS ROCK THE COUNTY SEAT
Team of Veera & Palumbo
Alisha Veera and Lexi Palumbo explored the connection to higher absentee rates and little accessibility to menstrual hygiene products provided in Bergen County public schools. In their research they had the privilege of interviewing Assistant Superintendant Andrea Sheridan who responded immediately to the problem by communicating to Bergen Tech administrators. Within a few days of the trip Ms. Cabanilla advised Ms. Allard that Bergen Tech will provide free menstrual hygiene products in the public restrooms (women's and gender neutral restrooms).

Team of Concepcion, DeJesus & Goswami
Amanda Concepcion, Amelia DeJesus and Maya Goswami are pictured in front of the Courthouse. This group is working on the societal issue of too many low income children in Bergen County having little access to healthy, nutritious, and inexpensive food at a local level. They are commended by Kate Duggan in the handwritten letter below.

PERSONAL WITH THE PERSONNEL
Erica Golle is on the Board of Directors for the Global Foundation for Peroxisomal Disorders. This summer, she had the opportunity to attend the GFPD 2019 Family and Scientific Conference as both a Director, as well as, co-chair of education programs for siblings. The education program focused on exploration of the five senses. The GFPD connects medical and scientific professional and families who have received a diagnosis of a peroxisomal disorder in the Zellweger spectrum. Peroxisomal disorders are rare, genetic, terminal conditions that affect all major organ systems of the body. For information, visit thegfpd.org.
