Lubbock A-J Amazing Teacher of the Month
Each month, the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal and Ron Haley & Associates will recognize one teacher as the Amazing Teacher of the Month and they will be featured in print and on the publication’s website.
The Teacher of the Month will be eligible to win a national $5,000 monthly prize for themselves and $5,000 for their school!
Whether you’re a student who’s learned from a great teacher, or a colleague, here’s your chance to recognize an exemplary local teacher.
Nominate an educator to be recognized as the Amazing Teacher of the Month
and show them just how grateful you are for the work they put in.
Make your nominations now at lubbockonline.com/contests and share this email with your friends and colleagues. The more nominations made, the better the odds are at winning a national prize!
Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures
Lubbock-Cooper ISD is committed to doing everything we can to keep your student safe. After safety comes efficiency. We dismiss approximately 800 students each day and feel we can get each student where they need to be in a timely manner. We appreciate your help and support as parents during the morning and afternoon every school day.
A few important points to remember:
- Please do not use the cafeteria drive through for pick up
- In the drive up lane, please do not get out of your vehicle to drop off or pick up your student. If you need to get out of your vehicle, please park in one of the parking lots so you can get out of your car.
- Speed limit is 10 m.p.h. around the school
The link below provides more detailed information regarding Drop off and Pick up procedures.

Teachers on the Rise
Mrs. Baird’s Teachers On The Rise program is returning to the Lubbock and South Plains area for the ninth school year. Mrs. Baird's is excited to honor more great teachers this year because we know great things happen in our classrooms every single day.
As we saw last spring, even though students may not be on campus, great teaching still takes place from a distance. With the start of the 2020-21 school year looking a little different as well, the creativity and compassion from our teachers will truly show, and we want to hear about it.
This is a student/family nominated program, so please let your Lubbock-Cooper North Elementary teachers know how much they are appreciated!
To nominate, just log onto http://www.mrsbteacher.com/ or simply google "Teachers On The Rise".
