ESI Summer 2015 Application Deadline - Sunday, May 17!

New OpenIDEO Collaboration!

ESI announces new partnership with OpenIDEO to host a 2 day design-a-thon using design-thinking to address a real-world social issue! Participants will work in teams to apply their skills and present their findings at the IDEO office in San Francisco at the end of the program.

Exploring Social Innovation (ESI) Program

July 20-31, 2015 | August 19-30, 2015

VIA's Exploring Social Innovation (ESI) Program will convene 20-25 university students and young professionals from across Asia to experience and exchange perspectives on social issues and innovation. Through a creative hands-on learning experience focusing on transforming challenges into opportunities, participants will discover innovation in the U.S. social sector, build meaningful connections with a growing network of innovators in Asia, and learn how to reach their potential as future changemakers.

New! Enlight Fellowship

Through this fellowship, the Enlight Foundation seeks to:

  • Promote equal opportunity in education and advancement of knowledge
  • Support programs which groom leadership and global mindset
  • Support research and programs which advances education

This fellowship is available to all applicants for VIA's Exploring Social Innovation (ESI) Programs in July and August. Successful applicants will receive $1000-2000 towards their program tuition.
