Lincoln Middle School
Lincoln Families,
I hope you and your children had a wonderful week! It has been a busy week at Lincoln between volleyball, wrestling, cartooning club, yearbook club, solo and ensemble festival, and a visit from the Prospect Orchestra. Lincoln strives to offer opportunities that meet a variety of students' interests through clubs, athletics, and fine arts. Please note below some upcoming opportunities for our students such as Track and Field and The Cabaret.
The opportunity to purchase a yearbook is winding down. If you have not yet ordered a yearbook for your child, you can click on the banner above this message and it will take you to the site to purchase one. Lastly, I want to remind everyone that Presidents Day is Monday, February 20th, and there is no school.
I hope you and your family have a wonderful weekend. Please take a moment to read through the Weekend Update below at your convenience.
Sincerely,
Eric Larson, Principal

Lincoln Tech and LRC Learning Opportunities for Parents
Our Instruction and Technology Coaches Kate Sassatelli (Lincoln) and Kelly Soderholm (Lions Park and Fairview) will offer an overview of the GoGuardian Parent App, which allows you to monitor, pause, or adjust internet access on school-issued devices during out of school hours. This application is available to all parents, and the presentation will allow families to learn more about them as well as get questions asked and answered. Families can register by going to bit.ly/57guardian and signing up for one of two online sessions. The first session is Wednesday, February 22 from 4:00-4:45 pm, and the second is on February 27 from 4:00-4:45 pm.
Lincoln LRC Director, Mrs.Walsh, will be hosting two Zoom sessions for parents/
guardians who’d like to know more about Lincoln’s library program and how it serves students. Topics may include:
- What’s a Lexile level? Text complexity?
- What resources can I use to preview books? What’s a YA novel?
- How does the LRC Director work with staff to serve students?
- What public library apps/databases are available for middle school students?
Sign Up Here to join the presentation. The next sessions will be hosted by Mrs. Walsh on Wednesday, February 21, 2023, from 7:00-8:00 pm and 8:00-9:00 pm.
Please mark your calendars for these events if you are able. We are striving to continually engage our families in the work we do at school, and build a strong home-school connection.
PEPS
On Tuesday, February 21, 2023, from 6:30-8:30pm, the PEPS (Partnering with Educators and Parents to Support student needs) group is meeting at Fairview. The topic will give you an opportunity to meet other parents and staff as we discuss whether your child’s behavior is behavior or if they are sensory seeking. To learn more, please check out the newsletter.
