FRONTIER EAGLE NEWS
December 2021
A Note from the FMS Administrative Team
We hope that all of you enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday, filled with much-need relaxation and time with family and friends. November was a busy month at FMS, between the official start to our winter sports season (which has been well-supported by our greater FMS community), a successful food drive, and STEM Day, along with many other activities. It has been wonderful to see our students involved in fun and engaging school-related activities, both during and after the academic day. We look forward to continuing the momentum as we head into the final month of 2021!
With that, we know that the holidays are a joyful time for many, but that they can also be a difficult time for others. Please know that we are here to support our students in any capacity possible, and we always invite you to reach out to us if we can help in any way.
Sincerely,
Dr. Laura Rowe, Principal
Mr. Kevin Kuehl, 7th Grade Assistant Principal
Mr. Stan Johnson, 8th Grade Assistant Principal
FMS Teacher of the Year: Mrs. Julie Post
It is with tremendous pleasure that we name Mrs. Julie Post, special education teacher, as Frontier Middle School’s 2021-2022 Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Post performs her job at an exemplary level and demonstrates an extraordinary commitment to serving our Frontier students and families. She is a caring, compassionate, and enthusiastic educator who goes above and beyond to build lasting and meaningful relationships with her students and their families. Her colleagues accurately describe Mrs. Post as having a heart of gold and as someone who is remarkably generous, but incredibly humble.
In addition to being an invaluable system of support for the students and families that she serves, Mrs. Post is also a tremendous asset to her colleagues. She is an integral part of FMS’s Equity and PD teams, through which she works diligently to ensure that her colleagues receive the training that they desire in order to best meet the needs of their students. We are lucky to have such a talented, compassionate, kind-hearted, and hard-working member as part of our Frontier family.
FMS Eagle Artist of the Month
According to Mr. Kingery, Gavin regularly comes up with amazing and unique ideas of ways to create art. His process is very well thought out, and his skill and craftsmanship are exemplary. Gavin is dedicated to his work and is a role model for great behavior!
A Note from the FMS Counseling Team
Many of our families within the Wentzville School District rely on the generous donations we receive each year to help provide holiday gifts for their children. This year, we will be partnering with Morning Star Church for their Christmas Shoppe program.
