ST. PATRICK'S DAY BINGO
DOES YOUR CHILD KNOW HIS/HER ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER?
Also, please make sure the office has your most up to date contact information including address, phone number, email, and emergency contacts. It is extremely important that we know the best way to reach you in case of an emergency.
Thank you for your cooperation!
Odyssey of the Mind
Three teams from Julian Curtiss competed in the CTOM state finals at Southern Connecticut State University on Saturday. These students, along with their coaches, have been working hard for many months to prepare for their long-term problems. They also competed in spontaneous challenges that were not revealed to them until they walked into the room! Two out of three teams took 3rd place in their division groups! We could not be prouder of ALL of our students and their sense of curiosity, innovation, and perseverance!
Problem 2 - "Hide in Plain Sight" - Division 1
Liam Donohue, Lynn Gulli, Daniela Gojani, Amelia Ilker, Beckett Gallagher.
Coach - John Ehlinger
Problem 3 - "Leonardo's Workshop - Division 1B (3rd Place)
London Lopez, Grayson Brehm, Theo Delev, Kayla Huang, Salome Raigoza, Sylvester Pecora.
Coach - Mary O'Connor
Problem 5 - "Opposites Distract" - Division 1B (3rd Place)
Scarlett Arlotti, Hayden Zinker, Max Leavens, Murphy Bennett, Joell Molina, Garrett Wollins.
Coach - Eileen Brehm
Thanks to all of the parents who supported our students in the program. We are especially grateful to parent volunteers Jessie Bennett, Jen Fry, Tyra Lopez, and Wendy and Cory Wollins who helped with many roles including rehearsals, toting props, and volunteering for positions at today's event. Thank you also to Mrs. Brenda Brush, our assistant principal, for volunteering as a judge at today's tournament. She has supported our teams since the beginning of the Odyssey program at JC, and loves to see the students' creativity first hand! Finally, this opportunity would not exist without the dedication of our coaches, John Ehlinger, Mary O'Connor and Eileen Brehm.
Congratulations to all for such amazing effort!
