AR Reports are coming home on Friday, May 14th. Please talk with your child and see their classroom AR goal for the nine weeks. See what their progress is so far to reach this goal.
Please encourage them to make a plan to read each night to reach their AR goal by the end of the school year.
5th Grade DARE field trip - Tuesday, May 17th
5th Grade Elementary Track and Field Day - Wednesday May 18th
The 5th-grade class will be going to Seymour High School's Bulleit Stadium for the 5th Grade Track & Field Day on Wednesday, May 18th, 2022. (Rain date is Thursday, May 19th, 2022). Come dressed for the weather and physical activity and bring an individual water bottle. Students should not bring any electronic devices, ex. Cell phones, tablets, and electronic games. This is still a school day, and students should follow guidelines just as if they were in the school building. Students have to ride the bus back to the school. They can not be picked up at the high school.
PE Olympics - Tuesday, May 24th
PE Olympic / Field Day Volunteers
Thank you to all the Field Day / PE Olympic Volunteers. If you have not sent in your background check form, please send this in with your child on Monday, May 16th. Papers about what you will be doing on that day are coming home today, Friday, May 13th; please look over your documents to prepare for the day. Volunteers help create a great day for our Cortland Eagles!!
For those volunteering for Field Day, Field Day Volunteer shirts will be sent home with your child on Friday, May 20th. If you have not sent in the money for your Field Day Volunteer shirt, please send this in with your child on Monday, May 16th.
We ask that you check in at the office if you volunteer during one of these events. With us getting back to having parents/guardians volunteering for security purposes, we are not opening up the school for spectators during these events. We appreciate your understanding.
