History and Location

Lafayette was founded in 1826 and is privately funded by the Presbyterian church. It was named after General Lafayette. It is located in Easton, Pittsburgh.

Degrees Offered, Acceptance Rate, and Expected ACT Score

Lafayette offers degrees in the field of biochemistry, biological sciences, and engineering. The expected ACT score is 29 or higher.

Campus Information and Costs

The campus size is 110 acres and its student to faculty ratio is 10:1. Housing costs $6,750 per semester including meals. Additionally there is the tuition cost of $22,615 a semester. The cost is the same for in and out of state students.There are currently 2,500 students enrolled.


Some sports offered to men are Baseball, Basketball, Cross-Country, and Football. Some sports for women are Basketball, Lacrosse, Cross-Country, and Soccer.

Lafayette are involved in over 250 clubs and organizations including athletics, fraternities and sororities, community service and honor societies. We also have a well built exercising facility.
