Term 2
Nau mai, Haere mai ki Uenuku
What a fabulous first two weeks we have had at school after our term break. The tamariki have had fun reconnecting with their friends and have slotted straight back in to our learning routines. Cross country last week was a highlight - we are so proud of the way the children gave their all, supported their friends across the whole school and showed lots of Grit themselves when training and running.
We are pleased to have welcomed Stirling, Xzantho and Jesse and their families to our Uenuku whanau this term.
Outdoor Classroom Day
Parent Teacher Student Conferences for Room 7
Miss Jensen is looking forward to meeting room 7 students and parents/caregivers on Wednesday evening. If you have not yet booked an appointment, please follow the instructions on the last school newsletter. Rebecca will be available after your appointment if you have any queries that you do not get the chance to ask, and will also be sharing what our reading programme looks like as it might be a little different to when older siblings were in year 1.
Please note that Rebecca is conducting separate New Entrant interviews for children who started school in 2022, and will be in touch to arrange these times if you have not had a meeting with her already.

Safety information
We thank you for remembering that we are a nut free school. We do have children with nut allergies so it is important to exclude any food items containing nuts from your child's lunch box. Food that is labelled 'may contain traces of...' is fine.
